Scientific Interest Groups

Scientific Interest Groups are co-led by DC CFAR investigators and members of the Community Partnership Council (CPC). SIGs convene meetings and seminars; provide information about events and recent research of interest; and create a forum to facilitate multidisciplinary, multi-institutional collaborations. New SIGs can be introduced by members of the DC CFAR community. Currently, the DC CFAR supports two SIGs:

Additionally, the DC CFAR is proud to announce that in response to growing interest from our membership, we are launching four exciting new Scientific Interest Groups (SIGs) in fall 2021. These multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional groups will focus on Aging and Comorbidities, Global HIV Research, Latinx, and Sexual Gender Minorities (SGM) and will be co-led by DC CFAR investigators and community members.
