Advanced Technology Core
The mission of the Advanced Technology Core (ATC) is to provide DC CFAR members with efficient, cost-effective access to state-of-the-art laboratory services and training in advanced methods and techniques, thereby enhancing HIV research across Washington,
The Core provides training through individual-level technical support and larger CFAR-wide events. These include the hands-on Core service laboratory “open house” series and the annual Core Service Providers Research Day.
Specific Aims
- Aim 1: Advance HIV research innovation by providing high impact and advanced technology laboratory services.
- Aim 2: Provide training in advanced techniques and assays for pilot, transitioning, and NIH award recipients.
- Aim 3: Foster interdisciplinary collaborative HIV research through technological platforms, workshops and seminars.
