The Mentoring Program is designed to complement the Pilot Awards Program and provide comprehensive and seamless support to early stage, new and newly transitioning investigators based on their current research needs and plans.
Pilot Awards Program applicants and other interested early stage and new investigators are invited to participate in this program in which a mentoring team is identified that provides ongoing scientific support.
The mentoring team supports the investigator in developing a research idea, implementing a research project, and translating the results into publications and a subsequent NIH application.
Additional assistance can be offered related to grant application, presentation and manuscript preparation.
Supported by the following Co-Funding and Participating Institutes: NIAID, NCI, NICHD, NIDCR, NHLBI, NIDA, NIMH, NIA, NIDDK, NINR, NIMHD, FIC, and OAR. The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of the NIH. (P30AI117970)
