DC CFAR investigator Xiong Jiang, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Georgetown University, has had his work recently featured in Radiology Today, along with DC CFAR investigator Mary Young, MD, Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine at Georgetown University and site Principal Investigator of the NIH funded Women's Intra-Agency HIV Study (WIHS). The article, titled "FMRI Identifies HIV-Associated Cognitive Decline Before Symptoms Occur", discusses their work on using a five-minute functional MRI test to detect neuronal dysfunction in HIV-positive patients who do not yet exhibit cognitive decline.
