DC CFAR investigator and Whitman-Walker Health Institutional Representative, Dr. Sarah Henn, was featured in an article in the March 2020 Washington Blade Magazine entitled "Coronavirus risk not significantly greater for those with 'well controlled' HIV."

The article describes concerns about the risks of the novel coronavirus among people living with HIV. Dr. Henn says she doesn't foresee people living with HIV who are controlled and with undetectable viral load to be at significantly greater risk for COVID-19. She also points to advice for avoiding coronavirus infection released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the city's Department of Health.
