DC CFAR Developmental Core Director, Michael Bukrinsky, MD PhD , has recently been awarded a R21 from the National Institutes of Health entitled, "Structural Characterization of the Nef-Calnexin Complex". This project will study the structural basis of the interaction between Nef and calnexin in order to curb HIV-related cardio-vascular disease.
