Community Partnership Council's 11th Annual Community-wide Research Update
Please join the DC CFAR Community Partnership Council's 11th Annual Community-wide Research Update on Tuesday, May 16 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM ET. The goal of this virtual event is to bring the community of researchers, advocates, and providers together to discuss new findings from the 2023 Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI). Experts will provide research updates and engage with the community on some of the latest findings, opportunities, and resources.
The seminar will feature presentations from DC CFAR Aging and Comorbidities SIG co-lead Dr. Anne Monroe (GW) on updates from the DC Cohort presented at CROI and DC CFAR Co-Director Dr. Manya Magnus (GW) on HIV prevention and treatment. Following the presentations, DC CFAR CPC Members, Mr. Kenya Hutton (Center for Black Equity) and Mr. Moises Agosto-Rosario (NMAC) will provide a response. CPC Member and Sexual and Gender Minority SIG Co-Lead Mr. Christian Morris will moderate the session and CPC Member Ms. Melissa Turner will provide the closing remarks.
