Current HIV/AIDS-Related Research Activities:
In collaboration with Dr. Ullah at Howard University (DC CFAR pilot award - 2017), we isolated and evaluated the effect of the functional inhibitor of RACK1 compounds. We also showed that these host-Targeted Antivirals Inhibited the RACK1-mediated IRES Activities in HIV-1 Infection (Submitted to the Journal 'Viruses' Manuscript ID: viruses-1195227)'.
