The Mid Atlantic CFAR Consortium (MACC) has published a new paper in AIDS Education and Prevention entitled, "Promoting Pre-exposure Prophylaxis to Prevent HIV Infections Among Sexual and Gender Minority Hispanics/Latinxs".  The MACC, comprised of the JHU, DC and Penn CFARS, was formed in May 2014 in response to a shared concern about the HIV epidemic among black MSM, and in particular young black MSM, in Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.

This article discusses barriers and facilitators to uptake of PrEP among sexual and gender minority Latinxs living in the U.S. through an ecosocial lens that takes into account structural, community, and individual contexts.
