DC CFAR investigator X Simon Wang, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Howard University College of Pharmacy, has had two articles published in Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput Screening. The articles are titled "Discovery of a Novel HDAC2 Inhibitor by a Scaffold-Merging Hybrid Query" and "Discovery of Natural Product-Derived 5-HT1A Receptor Binders by Cheminformatics Modeling of Known binders, High Throughput Screening and Experimental Validation". Dr. Wang has also published a book chapter jointly with another DC CFAR investigator, Joseph Fortunak, PhD. The chapter, entitled The Business Case for Green Chemistry in Drug Discovery, was published in Green Chemistry Strategies for Drug Discovery Royal Society of Chemistry.
