Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:
- Effect of HIV knowledge and HIV disclosure process on virologic suppression and sexual behavior among perinatally HIV-infected adolescents
- HIV proteinuria among perinatally HIV-infected infants, children and adolescents
Current HIV/AIDS Educational Activities:
- Course Director for Introduction to Global Child Health Course at CNMC / Lecturer for Pediatric HIV Module
- Faculty mentor for pediatric residents and medical students doing pediatric HIV electives in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Site faculty mentor for GWU MPH practicum students
- Frequent guest lecturer for local and regional grand rounds, professorial rounds, ID fellow series on pediatric HIV care and treatment and perinatal transmission of HIV
Current HIV/AIDS Clinical Activities:
- Primary clinician for Special Immunology Clinic responsible for inpatient and outpatient care and management of HIV-infected and HIV-exposed infants, children and adolescents at CNMC
- Perform consults for local ob/gyn and neonatologists for high-risk HIV exposed infants
Current HIV/AIDS Service Activities:
- Grant funding pending for comprehensive services for families affected by" HIV, using home visits to focus on increasing parenting capacity and strengthening linkages to community resources
- Establishment of Sexually Transmitted Infection follow-up clinic in local community ER
