The DC CFAR Welcomes a New Administrative Director: Patti Simon

Please join us in welcoming Patti Simon who begins this week as the new DC CFAR Administrative Director. Ms. Simon comes to the DC CFAR from the Institute of Medicine (IOM) at the National Academy of Sciences where she directed studies on a range of topics including access to care, quality of care, health disparities, and safety net programs. Prior to working at the IOM, Ms. Simon worked in the Department of Health Policy at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, where she managed a national program focused on the social determinants of health. Patti Simon received a master's degree in public health from the University of Texas School of Public Health.
 
Ms. Simon has extensive experience coordinating the efforts of leaders and experts from institutions of higher education, federal and state agencies, and members of the community. She is looking forward to applying her considerable skills and experience to support the DC CFAR's vision and mission and will be reaching out directly to our membership in the coming months.
