DC CFAR CAB Member, Dr. Goulda Downer (HU) presented at the Howard University Collaborative Lunch Series on September 11. Dr. Downer's talk, entitled "Howard University's HIV/HCV Prevention Program on HBCU Campuses Nationwide" focused on strategies to increase awareness about HIV prevention, testing, and counseling among students and student health services providers at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). In addition, Dr. Downer connected participants -- faculty, DC CFAR CAB members, and students -- with extensive webinar and educational resources.

The Howard University Collaborative Lunch Series began as a pilot program in spring 2018 to promote HIV research and multidisciplinary collaborations among investigators at Howard. Based on its success, this popular activity has been expanded to include all DC CFAR members with the goal of fostering multi-institutional collaborations and grant applications.

We invite you to join us for the next Collaborative Lunch Seminar, in person or by WebEx. Information regarding registration will be available soon!
