Current HIV/AIDS-Related Research Activities
My current research focuses on optimizing PrEP implementation with young men who have sex with men (YMSM) to prevent HIV. I am the PI of an NIMH-funded patient-oriented mentored research award (K23MH136831), “Using Implementation Science to Enhance HIV Prevention among Young Men who have Sex with Men.” The objective of the project is to facilitate delivery of evidence-based practices motivational interviewing and personalized health education in PrEP care for YMSM in two clinics to increase retention and use of PrEP and other HIV prevention methods.
