Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:

  • Principal Investigator for the DC Cohort, a NIH-funded public health research database which aims to follow over 10,000 HIV-infected individuals seeking care in the District of Columbia.
  • Principal Investigator for DC Cohort substudy on the Molecular Epidemiology of HIV in Washington, DC
  • Serves as Chief Epidemiologist to the HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STD, TB Administration through the District of Columbia DOH-GWU Public Health Academic Partnership, providing epidemiologic and technical support and expertise to the Administration.
  • Co-Principal Investigator of NIH SBIR grant to determine whether interactive videogames can improve medication and visit adherence among HIV infected adolescents and young adults
  • Principal Investigator of three CFAR supplemental awards on the HIV continuum of care to assess barriers and faciltators to care, to assess the accuracy of different data sources on continuum measurements, and to evaluate the feasibility of using HIV surveillance data to guide HIV testing coupled with an enhanced linkage to care intervention
