DC CFAR Members Valeria Avdoshina, MD, PhD,Ayket Uren, MD and Italo Mocchetti, PhD, along with their colleagues, have published an article in the
Journal of Neurochemistry entitled, "Identification of a binding site of the human immunodeficiency virus envelope protein gp120 to neuronal specific tubulin".
The article discusses a study to discover novel mechanisms of gp120 neurotoxicity that could explain how the envelope protein promotes neurite pruning.
