We are pleased to announce that DC CFAR Investigator and Institutional Representative of Children's National Medical Center, Dr. Natella Rakhmanina, was appointed as Chairperson of the Committee on Pediatric AIDS at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The Committee on Pediatric AIDS develops AAP policy statements that provide guidelines and recommendations for the care and treatment of pediatric patients with HIV. Dr. Rakhmanina will lead the AAP efforts in contributing to the national initiative "Ending of the HIV: A Plan for America".
