Peer Group Consultations Available through the Social and Behavioral Sciences Core

June 16, 2016

The Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) Core is putting out a call for anyone interested in a peer group consultation in the months of June, July or August. You may want to consider a peer group consultation if you:
  • Are preparing an application for SBS related HIV/AIDS research
  • Are preparing an application for HIV/AIDS research and would like to include an SBS related component
  • Are preparing a manuscript involving analysis of SBS related topics or data
  • Would like to brainstorm about where to go with an SBS HIV/AIDS related research project that is ending
  • Would like to brainstorm with colleagues on how to turn your HIV/AIDS related research interests into an NIH grant proposal
  • Would like feedback on whether your SBS related research interests can be applied to HIV/AIDS related topics
  • Would like general feedback on developing or focusing your SBS related HIV/AIDS research agenda
We can conduct 2-4 consults per session (30-45 minutes per consult, depending on the number). If you anticipate a need for a consult for June, July or August, please email the core research manager Allison O'Rourke and let us know the topic/type of consult (see above, or specify any other reason) and your preferred month. Once we have a sense of how many people are interested, and on what topics, we'll work on a specific schedule.

If you are uncertain as to whether your needs would be best addressed through this mechanism, please feel free to contact the core manager.
