Manya Magnus, Matt Levy, Irene Kuo, and Marc Siegel

DC CFAR Clinical and Population Sciences (CPS) Core Co-Director, Dr. Manya Magnus (GW), along with DC CFAR Investigators, Drs. Irene Kuo, Matt Levy, and Marc Siegel, published an article in Public Health Nursing February 2020 entitled "Development of a telehealth intervention to promote care-seeking among transgender women of color in Washington, DC".

This pilot study used qualitative and formative methods to develop a telehealth intervention to support engagement in care for transgender women of color. The authors identified several barriers to services and intentionally addressed these with the telehealth intervention model. This paper is from a recent NIH-funded R21 which was implemented as a partnership with faculty from GW School of Public Health, MFA, and community members.
