Dr. Maureen Lyon

Dr. Katherine Grill (California Institute of Integral Studies) and DC CFAR Investigator Dr. Maureen Lyon (Children's/GW) along with colleagues from Children's National Medical Center published an article in Psychology of Religion and Spirituality in January 2020 entitled "The Role of Religiousness and Spirituality in Health-Related Quality of Life of Persons Living With HIV: A Latent Class Analysis".

This study uses a latent class analysis to examine how religiousness and spirituality influence health-related quality of life outcomes in order to develop holistic and specialized interventions for people living with HIV. This publication is based on Dr. Lyon's R01 on Palliative Care in People Living with HIV/AIDS: Integrating into Standard of Care, with the collaboration of DC CFAR institutions VA Medical Center, George Washington University and Georgetown University.
