New Biorepository Resource Information Available on the DC CFAR Website

October 6, 2016

The Clinical and Population Sciences (CPS) Core is pleased to announce the availability of new biorepository information on the DC CFAR website.  Through the webpage, investigators can now access several new resources, including a list of existing biorepository resources that may have specimens available for research in HIV; an informed consent template for participating in a research study; and information on public access data sets available to study HIV related research questions.

The webpage also contains a detailed FAQ addressing such questions as:
  • I am collecting specimens and would like to contribute to an existing repository for future use.  Who should I contact?;
  • None of the existing specimens will be useful for me and I need new specimens collected for my study.  What should I do?; and
  • I would like basic science services such as specimen processing or support with a new assay for my study.  Who should I contact?
In addition to its clinicalbiostatistical and epidemiological core services, the CPS core is available to assist in the collection of new specimens through collablorating DC CFAR institutions to address specific research questions. For more information about accessing biorepository resources, or to request clinical services, please complete the Core Services Request Form.
