DC CFAR and DC Cohort Investigators have recently published two articles analyzing DC Cohort data. The first publication comes from Dr. Natella Rakhmanina (Children's) and Dr. Matthew Levy, along with Dr. Anne Monroe (GW) and Dr. Amanda Castel (GW) in the Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal  March 2020 entitled "Outcomes of Integrase Inhibitor-based Antiretroviral Therapy in a Clinical Cohort of Treatment-experienced Children, Adolescents and Young Adults With HIV Infection." In this study, the authors evaluated virologic and safety outcomes following initiation of INSTI-based ART as standard-of-care treatment among children and youth in Washington, DC. Results from this study demonstrated that more than half of participants who had detectable viremia upon INSTI initiation did not achieve viral suppression, suggesting that ART non-adherence and associated factors need to be continuously addressed among children and youth using INSTIs.

The second article was published in Clinical Infectious Diseases March 2020 by investigators from the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center and GW School of Public Health entitled "Utilization of Direct Oral Anticoagulants in People with HIV: Observational Data from the DC Cohort". The article examines the use and prescribing trends of direct oral anticoagulants among people living with HIV.
