The DC CFAR Executive Committee is delighted to announce that Whitman-Walker Health is joining the DC CFAR as an institutional partner.

The mission of the DC CFAR is to support research that will contribute to ending the HIV epidemic in DC and beyond in partnership with local government and community.  Thus the addition of Whitman-Walker Health, with its long history of providing HIV care and prevention services, and conducting HIV research in Washington, DC, is highly synergistic with our mission. This partnership will be mutually beneficial: Whitman-Walker Health investigators will be able to access the core services, networking opportunities and pilot award funding available through the DC CFAR; and DC CFAR investigators from other institutions will be able to communicate and collaborate more effectively with investigators from Whitman-Walker Health.

Dr. David Hardy, Senior Director of Evidence-Based Practices, will join the DC CFAR Executive Committee as the Whitman-Walker Health institutional representative.  The DC CFAR will be working with Dr. Hardy to operationalize this new partnership in the weeks and months ahead.
