Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:

  • Principal Investigator, Pediatric and Perinatal AIDS Clinical Trials Unit, NICHD/Westat Network, funded since 1992 to present
  • Principal Investigator: A Phase II Open Trial to evaluate the safety, tolerability and anti-viral activity of TMC 125 in antiretroviral experienced HIV 1 infection, July 1 2008 to June 30 2009
  • Principal Investigator: Pediatric Impact Study: An innovative intervention to improve adherence in children with HIV infection. 1999-2006. Center for Disease Control. Current HIV/AIDS Clinical Activities:

  • Director, Pediatric HIV Services---providing comprehensive care to approximately 65 children and adolescents with HIV infection and 15-20 new infants born to HIV infected mothers every year

Current HIV/AIDS Service Activities:

  • Ongoing collaboration with area churches and CBOs to develop interventions to decrease or eliminate stigma associated with HIV.
