DC CFAR Investigator and Drug User Health Scientific Interest Group co-lead, Dr. Irene Kuo (GW) and colleagues published an article in JMIR mHealth and uHealth February 2020 entitled "The Implementation of a Text Messaging Intervention to Improve HIV Continuum of Care Outcomes Among Persons Recently Released From Correctional Facilities: Randomized Controlled Trial".
The authors describe the barriers and facilitators of an SMS text messaging-based mobile health intervention to increase linkage to HIV care and ART adherence among people living with HIV in the criminal justice system.
