The DC CFAR investigator, Delishia Pittman, PhD, has recently published an article in Cultural Diversity and Ethnic Minority Psychology entitled, "Hidden in plain sight: Making a case for heterosexual Black college women being identified as a high-risk population for HIV infection".

This conceptual paper employs a "multiple risk factor framework" to look at factors unique to the Black heterosexual college women population that may increase their potential risk of HIV infection. The authors present intervention and prevention implications and recommendations for future research for this understudied population, which could potentially impact the ways that colleges, universities and researchers interact with this population.
