DC CFAR HIV Cure SWG member Cheriko (Riko) Boone, MSW, MPH published a letter to the editor of the Journal of Infectious Diseases August 2019 entitled "Secondary HIV Infection and Mitigation in Cure-Related HIV Trials During Analytical Treatment Interruptions".
This letter, which recommends best practices in HIV cure related clinical trials, was submitted in response to concerns over a research study participant's identifying details and commentary on the provision of PrEP, as reported by two recent articles in the Journal of Infectious Diseases.
