DC CFAR Investigators, Manya Magnus, PhD, MPH and Irene Kuo, PhD, MPH, along with other colleagues from the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health and the SUNY at Binghamton College of Community and Public Affairs recently published an article in Digital Culture & Education entitled, "Acceptability of a mobile smartphone application intervention to improve access to HIV prevention and care services for black men who have sex with men in the District of Columbia".  The article discusses the unique needs of black men who have sex with men in engaging in the health care system, and the acceptability of a mobile smartphone app intervention that is intended to remove structural barriers and improve access to culturally relevant HIV prevention and care services.  Dr. Magnus serves as the DC CFAR's Clinical and Population Sciences Core Co-Director, and Dr. Kuo co-leads the Criminal Justice Affected Communities Scientific Interest Group.
