DC CFAR CAB members recently participated in the 7th National CFAR CAB Coalition (NCCC) Annual Meeting held on November 6-7, 2018 in conjunction with the CFAR National Meeting and Scientific Symposium at Emory University. The two day event, hosted by the Community Liaison Council, brought together representatives from the CFAR Community Advisory Boards from across the country for a business meeting, and a Community Research Day with a round table discussion with representatives from the CDC, and several skills building sessions. Topics covered included: A Snapshot of the HIV Epidemic in the South, Holistic HIV Care, Funding Opportunities for Community Groups, Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Planning, Opportunities for CFAR CABs, and Best Practices. Plans for the meeting next year in North Carolina were also discussed.
