Current HIV/AIDS-Related Research Activities:
My background is in oncology, and I am particularly interested in improving cancer care for older patients non-AIDS defining cancer (NADC). Our current study, funded by the National Cancer Institute, examines clinical and laboratory correlates of accelerated aging in patients with NADC as well as those with HIV only. We aim to describe differences in functional performance and mitochondrial function.
