October 20, 2016

David Hardy
The DC CFAR is pleased to announce that Dr. David Hardy has joined the DC CFAR Executive Committee as the institutional representative from Whitman-Walker Health.

Dr. Hardy, a relative newcomer to D.C, serves as Senior Director of Evidence-based Practices at Whitman Walker Health and Clinical Professor of Medicine at George Washington University SMHS since October 2015. He currently leads the ACTG, MACS, BELIEVE and co-leads the DC Cohort and industry-sponsored research projects at WWH. Prior to joining Whitman-Walker, he served as Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he worked for 28 years.  Dr Hardy has cared for HIV+ persons since 1982 and has conducted associated clinical, basic science and translational research since 1984. Dr Hardy specifically elected to come to DC due to its vibrant and growing HIV research community.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Hardy to his new role on the DC CFAR Executive Committee.
