DC CFAR CAB Member, Goulda Downer, PhD, RD, LN, CNS, FAND, Receives HRSA Grant

DC CFAR CAB Member, Dr. Goulda Downer has received a $2.4 million HRSA grant in order to integrate the National HIV Curriculum e-learning platform into health care provider profession education.  The goal of this four-year project is to enhance the quality of HIV education and training in order to increase the number of health care professionals who can adequately and competently care for persons living with HIV.
 
Dr. Downer is an Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine at Howard University. She was the director of the former HRSA-funded, National Minority AIDS Education and Training Center (NMAETC), and AIDS Education and Training Center-National Multicultural Center (AETC-NMC), and now currently heads the Howard University Capital Region AETC Telehealth Training Center (HU-CRTP).
