Bianca Sprague


Bianca Rey Sprague is a Filipina-American immigrant born and raised in the Philippines. Bianca moved to the Washington DC area in the fall of 1998 and began working in the healthcare field in 1999. Bianca has been with Kaiser Permanente for 22+ years and has held several positions.  She is currently an Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Consultant at Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States (KPMAS) Region and a liaison to the organization’s Business Resource Group (BRG).  

Bianca’s passions include a devotion to the normalizing and visibility of the Transgender, Non-Binary, and Gender Expansive Communities in Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States KPMAS) and across the Kaiser Permanente enterprise. Bianca’s work includes elevating the visibility and amplifying the voices of our marginalized communities in KP, educator to the workforce via facilitating cultural competence and humility training and engaging the Business Resource Group (BRG) community to the communities Kaiser Permanente serves. Bianca is also a certified facilitator in Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). 

Outside her work, Bianca is part of Equality Virginia’s Transgender Advocacy Speakers Bureau (TASB) Program as a Speaker/Facilitator, an activist for equitable health access to Trans, Non-Binary, and Gender Expensive folks, and a learning educator with a focus on elevating the visibility and uplifting the voices of the communities. Bianca is also the first Transgender woman to be elected as Co-Chair of Asian and Pacific Islander Queers United for Action (AQUA-DC).  In 2023, Bianca became the Executive Director of Trans Pride Washington DC, a volunteer-led organization that centers on creating a safe and inclusive space, providing access to tools and resources, and building connections with the communities.
