The Women and HIV Scientific Interest Group provides a forum to raise the visibility of girls and women and promote collaborations and disseminate research on HIV and women. The interest group also supports continued research on female-controlled HIV prevention methods across the translational spectrum, including basic and clinical research to implementation research to ensure equitable access to proven prevention modalities.
DC CFAR investigators Drs. Seble Kassaye (GU) and Rachel Scott (GU) serve as the Academic Leads and DC CFAR CPC Member Martha Cameron serves as the Community Lead.
The group meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday from 2:00 – 3:00pm, see meeting recordings here.
