  • Pioglitazone for Hepatic Steatosis in HIV/HCV Co-infection
  • The Natural History of Liver Disease in a Cohort of Participants with Hepatitis B and/or Hepatitis C with or without HIV Infection
  • An Open-Label, On-Treatment Study to Assess the Effect of HIV-1 Coinfection on Therapeutic Responses to Boceprevir, Peg-Interferon alfa-2b and Ribavirin in HCV Genotype 1, IFN Treatment-Naïve Subjects With or Without HIV-1
  • A Randomized Controlled Study to Assess Safety, Tolerability and Efficacy of PSI-7977 Alone or in Combination with RBV in HCV Genotype 1-Infected Treatment Naïve Patients.

Current HIV/AIDS Educational Activities:

  • Teaching and clinical contribution towards the training of GI Fellows, residents and medical students from Georgetown University Hospital, George Washington University ,Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and Washington Hospital Center. 

Current HIV/AIDS Clinical Activities:

  • I have a weekly clinic wherein I see HIV infected patients with a wide spectrum of liver disease extending from HCV, HBV to NASH, metabolic liver disease and increasingly Hepatocellular Carcinoma. There are daily in-patient specialty consultations including most critically ill and medically complicated patients
