Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:

  • Principal Investigator for a pilot study nested within the Women's Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) to investigate psychosocial stress, related biomarkers, and cardiovascular disease risk among women living with HIV.
  • Analyst for the DC Cohort, a longitudinal observational cohort study to monitor and inform HIV care for approximately 10,000 consenting participants receiving HIV care across 15 treatment clinics in Washington, DC.
  • Previously served as the site coordinator for the DC HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN) Clinical Research Site. Research projects included: HPTN 083 (Phase 2b/3 trial of injectable cabotegravir compared to daily oral Truvada for pre-exposure prophylaxis in HIV-uninfected men and transgender women who have sex with men) and HPTN 085 (Phase 2b study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of VRC01 broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibody in reducing acquisition of HIV infection among men and transgender persons who have sex with men).
