Join us! DC CFAR and GWU Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Seminar with Dr. Sari Reisner

The DC CFAR and George Washington University Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics are pleased to be co-sponsoring a seminar entitled, "Addressing the HIV Epidemic in Transgender Populations: Past, Present, and Future" on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 12:00pm-1:00pm in room 500A. All are welcome to attend, and a light lunch will be provided.
The seminar will be presented by Sari Reisner, ScD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, based at Boston Children's Hospital, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Trained as a social and psychiatric epidemiologist, his research focuses on sexual and gender minority health inequities across development, particularly in HIV infection, other STIs, and mental health conditions, with specialization in global transgender health. Dr. Reisner is a core faculty member at the Harvard University Center for AIDS Research (HU CFAR) in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Core offering consultations in community-based research methodologies. He is also a Research Scientist and Director of the Transgender Health Research Team at The Fenway Institute at Fenway Health in Boston, MA.
