Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:

  • Examine a multidisciplinary “Integrated Management Team to Improve Maternal-Child Outcomes (IMPROVE)” intervention to improve maternal and child outcomes and HIV service and antiretroviral therapy uptake and retention in Lesotho.
  • Evaluate a community score card for pregnant and breastfeeding women living with HIV in Malawi.
  • Examine feasibility and acceptability of pre-exposure prophylaxis in Uganda.
  • Examine birth surveillance in Eswatini following transition to dolutegravir-based treatment.
  • Assess clinical outcomes, experiences and cost of a community ART distribution model in the DRC through the PODI+ evaluation.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of early child development multi-media communication on caregiver and community health worker behaviors through the Malezi II Program
