Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:

  • Development and evaluation of a mobile health tool to support community health workers in India and Bangladesh delivering evidence based health assessments, point of care testing, algorithmic treatment and health referrals
  • Development and evaluation of a web-based system for home STI/HIV counseling/testing and treatment
  • Development and evaluation of a web/vending machine system to deliver HIV/STI testing and STI treatment to populations at risk.

Current HIV/AIDS Educational Activities:

  • Community Oriented Primary Care - a two semester course at George Washington University - COPC is a health system innovation process involving community engagement that integrates primary care practice and public health to improve health outcomes of a defined population. The Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC): Principles and Practice course teaches the tenets of COPC and the methods necessary to implement COPC in a variety of settings. 

Current HIV/AIDS Clinical Activities:

  • Dr. Spielberg is a practicing family medicine physician delivering health care in STI, HIV, Primary Care and Urgent Care settings.
