Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:

  • My research interests are focused on the understanding of the mechanisms that drive HIV latency and the development of novel therapeutic strategies towards an HIV Cure.  First, we are investigating what cellular and viral factors may influence the generation of an inducible latent HIV. Second, we are using chemical biology to identify novel latency-reactivation agents and immune enhancers that can safely be use towards HIV-1 eradication strategies.
